Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Climate Change
People need to consider how their actions affect the environment. The world Co2 levels have gone from 380 ppm in 2005 to 408 ppm in 2018. If people do not start to live more sustainably it is going to have large consequences on our environment. Countries need to be rewired so people are less materialistic and more aware of the environment. I think the first step of that would be to educate more people about the rising CO2 levels and how their actions contribute to them. There are many programs now, such as the Alliance for Climate Education, which allows students to step up and educate people about global warming. I think if more people did more educational projects like the carbon footprint online calculator and became part of educational groups such as the Alliance for Climate Education it would bring even more awareness about global warming and lead to more sustainable ways of living.
