Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Renewable energy
Renewable energy is a good thing, but it is not always there when we need it. Wind power is a good alternative but wind isn't always there when you need it and when it is wind turbines are expensive, they cost between 1.3 and 2.2 million dollars. Solar energy is great but the sun is not always there
and where would we put massive amounts of solar panels? Nuclear energy is great but the waste is horrible, you need to bury it and hope nothing h append to it. Here is a link to more types of renewable energy http://www.altenergy.org/renewables/renewables.html
I agree very much with this. I have personal experience with this problem. Me and my family want to help with our carbon footprint as much as we can. We ride our bikes when we can, take public transportation, and carpool if we need to drive. A thing that we struggle with is saving electric energy. We have an energy saving dishwasher and an energy saving dryer but we want to do more. We looked into solar panels but they were to expensive. I want to help make an inexpensive way to make renewable energy.
