Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint
My Carbon Footprint was much higher than the average, although it is mostly due to my travels on airplanes. However, the second largest contributor is my food. Does anybody have any tips for reducing pro-carbon food habits?
You could go vegetarian(probably not) or just eat less meat. Other than that you could eat fewer foods that need a lot of water (like cashews) and less rice
and more pasta, as pasta requires less water.
When buying food you can try to find local grown organic food instead of GMO foods that are not organic. I also had the same problem with my footprint and I found out that organic foods and also cutting down on meat could help lower your footprint.
Jonathan, in addition to buying more organic foods, try looking into transportation as well. For example, if you live close enough, try riding your bike to school, or try taking the bus. Those two thing alone could greatly impact you carbon footprint. If you are having trouble finding organic foods to buy, try looking into your local farmers market. I know for a fact, my farmers market is all locally grown food and is very organic with little to no preservatives.
