Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

We always hear the conversations about global warming but never really paid attention to what was being said. When we started talking about in class, many people thought "I'm only one person, how could I make a change." Then we calculated our carbon footprint, and realized how big of an impact we have on this planet. People found out that we don't need to start projects in order to help. Little things are what can make the big changes. If everyone were to start to thinking about ways to help, we would have a big impact. There are many ways we could lower our footprints. We could take shorter showers, carpool, turn off the lights after leaving the room, or just grab a blanket instead of turning on the heat. One by one, we would be able to save the planet.
