Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

the carbon in spain
In Spain the province with the highest carbon output in Corunna and less production province Cantabria.
The countries that produce carbon worldwide are China and the United States.
Taking the three mistakes (reduce, reuse and recycle)
One way to reduce consumption is to save energy at home, so that it benefits the environment and the pocket. Several tips like choosing appliances and light bulbs, use them only when necessary, properly insulate the house and use efficient air conditioning systems, etc. Saving water is also an important contribution. Besides home, consumers can also be more environmentally friendly in their work.
Thanks for the advise! I am currently doing the things you have suggested to reduce my carbon footprint. I currently recycle now! I recently also bought a more energy efficient air conditioner.
Thank you so much! My family is really good about turning off lights around the house when we aren't using them. We also save water by turning running water off when we brush our teeth. I currently recycle as well!
Good advice! Choosing energy-effiecient appliances and light bulbs makes a big difference for the environment.
Thank you for the advice! I find it very interesting. I am now taking shorter showers and I'm recycling plastics and cans.
Thank you for sharing those helpful tips on reducing my footprint! I am very good at turning off the lights whenever I leave rooms or anything. Its a pet peeve but it is a good one. I should probably use these helpful tips in my personal life because I have such a high footprint.
Hi Marta!
I really enjoyed your post. It was nice that you added facts about what country has the highest carbon footprint. I do live in the United States and am not surprised that we have a high carbon footprint. Your tips about reducing footprints were very good and I also found it interesting that you included the workplace. I did not even think about reducing the carbon footprint in a workplace. Great job!
Hello Marta, I love how you give us tips on how to save energy and reduce the amount of carbon we produce! I agree with you completely when you say we can make little changes because these little changes can make a difference.
Hello, Marta! This was an interesting post that was different from the others that I am seeing. Have you calculated your personal carbon footprint? If you haven't, you really should! It's awesome to see what you are putting into the atmosphere! I really enjoy your tips for reducing consumption. I live in the US and after seeing just a few posts from other countries, I quickly realized that we would have one of the largest carbon footprints. I am going to try to save water at my house. It is hard to do so because we have not had rain in many days and we just planted grass seed. In order to keep the grass alive, we must water it! I hope that it will rain soon and this problem will be eliminated. Thanks for the awesome tips, Marta!
These are really good tips and I am going to use those tips and bring my carbon footprint down and be more friendly to the environment.
I think its awesome that you do reduce reuse and recycle. That probably why your average is lower than mine
Some of the points you made to save energy were good! Some other good ones are unplugging things when you aren't using them, I think I will try this. I live in America and I can definitely see how we are one of the main countries to produce carbon worldwide. Hopefully us students can start making a small impact just by our steps to reducing our carbon footprint!
