Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Way I can get to the city
Many times a week I venture into the city. Over bridges, and it takes about an hour. I take an individual vehicle. Doing some research there are way I can make the journey carpooling, something I am actually starting to use.
Luckily, in the Bay Area, there are many great options for public transit in addition to carpooling. BART has trains that run about every 15-20 minutes and are very clean and inviting
Additionally there is a ferry that runs from Jack London and Alameda to Sf and even carries bikes if that is how you want to get around.
This is a great point! I live in an area where its about 15-20 minutes to any larger store or a hospital even! There aren’t really options to get around and when you do sports almost everyday like I do the transportation section of my carbon footprint was extremely high. I’m trying to figure out a way to lower this level, but seeing as we don’t have a bus system or anything like that you kind of have to rely on personal transportation.
