Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Try going vegetarian!
1 year ago I decided to cut red meat out of my diet. The first month was a little challenging, but as time went on things became easier. Dieting from meat made daily task a lot easier to do. For example, exercising, waking up, etc. But what I didn't know is that taking out meat in my diet would lower my carbon footprint. My carbon footprint for food came out as 1,529 kgs, verses someone who does eat meat would have around 14,362 kgs. "A widespread switch to vegetarianism would cut emissions by nearly two-thirds... In three decades, emissions related to agriculture and food production are likely to account for about half of the world’s available “carbon budget” ". Try a vegetarian diet and help our environment.
