Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Turn off the Lights!
We use electricity all the time, at school, at home, and for some of us in our cars. We can cut down our electricity use by simply turning off the lights. We should turn the lights off every time we are not in that room, and any chance we get to open a window and use the natural light coming in we should. This can all save money. Let's make a change together starting with just a switch.
I strongly agree with this DJ. If we all cut down on our use of electricity and cars we can help restore our atmosphere. One way we are making a change is in cars. We are starting to see an increase in electric cars which can help decrease the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.
This is a big issue that I personally struggle with. I often forget to turn off the lights when I leave the room. I try to remember to shut them off, but most times I am in a hurry to leave my room and forget to hit the switch. My brother has the same problem. Most of the times he leaves a room without turning off the lights. I think it is a universal problem that everyone struggles with not just my family. If we were to work on making sure we turn them off we would save tons of energy therefore saving carbon, as well.
