Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What is the easiest thing to do...?
What is the easiest thing to do that will decrease my carbon footprint?
What do you mean when you say 'easy?' There are many little things you can do to reduce your carbon footprint. Some of these include cutting out meat from your diet, recycling whatever is accepted by your town or city, and generally making an effort to use public or energy-efficient transportation whenever possible.
I personally think that if you live close to where you are going you can bike or walk. That will reduce your carbon footprint. So will carpooling, when going further distances. If you live far from school carpool with other kids or ride the bus.
I think that there are many easy things to do just by recycling, carpooling, shutting off lights, and reserving water. Are all very simple things that we all have the capability to do and this will help reduce our carbon footprint.
