Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

CO2 concentrations
After looking at different carbon footprints around the world, I've noticed most people use cars including myself instead of taking public transportation or carpooling. Co2 concentrations are a major part of global warming and all of us need to make an effort to carpool and use public transportation as much as possible. In the past two days, instead of asking my mom to take me places, I have caught the bus or called a carpool lyft.
I think that is a great idea! Using public transportation to get around our city will significantly reduce C02 emissions. I have a few questions though.
Do you think lyft or uber would be good options for carpools compared to local transit?
Do you think that Oakland has enough transportation to support the population?
I think uber and lyft are just as efficient as taking the bus if you are sharing the ride with a friend or when paying for the ride clicking the carpool button so it will pick you and a stranger up.
