Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My footprint:
I live in Normandy, in France. Our winters are not very cold, our summers are not hot and it's rainnig a lot of time. In France, our industries produce more CO2, i think because it's a developed country. My result of the food footprint surprised me and i want to lower it. The other result are good for me...
I think that the weather does have a big impact because you won't have to use as much electricity on things like air conditioning. But the fact that the industries produce more co2 doesn't really help the situation. It would be a good choice to find ways to reduce any more carbon usage.
Weather could have a huge impact on your footprint. France should be pretty clean though because you will be using less heat and air conditioning which will help the environment. Greetings from USA!
The weather definitely has an impact on your carbon footprint. It's a good thing that you will be using less heating and air conditioning because it'll help the environment.
This is interesting! The weather will impact your carbon footprint because it will determine whether or not you use heat or air conditioning.
Yea I agree with Brian, your weather will have a huge impact on your total carbon footprint, but also on your environment like acidic rain from pollution (we also have this problem in the US).
I feel like a lot of peoples carbon footprints are really high.
This is very interesting! The weather defiantly has an impact on your carbon footprint. It will tell whether to you use heat or air conditioning, which would effect the environment.
It should be rather easy to lower that food level, because you live in a developed country you should have access to organic and carbon friendly foods and you should make active efforts to change what you eat.
What were your highest areas of your footprint were did most of them come from
Developed nations usually have a much higher carbon footprint due to their large-scale industrial productions and the large amount of high end automobiles. In America lots of our carbon footprint comes from the output of industrial production and large machinery output.
What do you use most of all for your total footprint?
I eat a lot of food. I consume more than the average of my region. I think I need to lower my consumption because I eat more than the average person.
