Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

newyorkrules23

My carbon footprint was very high of everything. I was very surprised because I barely do anything outside and I really don't have the chance to do things more than outside of school cause i have no time. My total carbon print is 21,654, Transportation 6,321, Home 6,990, food 7,960, and purchases 383.

Ways you could decrease your footprint is buying locally grown and organic food, using public transportation or walking/biking,  turning off lights when not used in home, turn off water when brushing teeth, shorter showers.

Ways you could decrease your transportation would be using public transportation or biking or walking. Also for home turning off light when you leave rooms to save energy.
