Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint
My carbon footprint total was 8,031 kgs. 975 kgs were in transportation, 3,558 kgs in home, 2,926 kgs in food, and 572 kgs in purchases. I have one of the lowest numbers in the class, and my highest number was in my home. While I expected my results to be pretty low, I was still surprised at how low. I don't travel or eat out that much, and I think I'm right where I need to be with food. I learned that my home is already somewhat energy efficient, but there's probably something I could be doing with appliances, lightbulbs, etc. Another thing I could be doing in the future is eating less animal products.
Your transportation was extremely low but thats because I take you home from school almost everyday. Probably just cut emissons otherwise.
home can be reduced if you turn off lights and fans when they are not being used and you should switch to more organic foods.
You could possibly eat more healthier foods and before you leave turn off your lights and charge your electronics while you are sleeping
