Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint By Jordan (Block 4 Mr. W)
Hi, My name is Jordan and this is my Carbon Footprint:
For homes I had 5,640kgs, Food 4,783kgs, Purchases 219kgs, Transportation 2,328kgs, and a total of 12,970kgs for all categories that results my daily life. When going out with friends is 7.4 miles, After school activities is 6 miles, Getting to and from school is 3.2 miles, vacations is 178.5 miles, and in total is 195.1. We use car for transportation, but last there haven't been any airplane flights. The size of my home is 1900 in square feet and 176.5 in square meters. We leave are heat on for 6 months and heat our home with gas. Temperature is set to 73 unless it gets really cold in the house, we turn it up to 76. We have two compact fluorescent lightbulbs and 30 incandescent lightbulbs in the house. We heat are water by using gas. We wash our clothes in warm water and mowing the lawn is manual. 2 garbages bags are thrown out per day which makes 14 garbage bags thrown out per week. Only glass and plastic I recycle.
My carbon footprint was actually lower than the average person's carbon footprint because I do not have any air conditioning and I barely use the heater. I believe you should minimize your uses of heat and A/C. Instead of A/C, you can use more blankets and instead of using the heater, you can use ice and cold water.
