Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

Blakelym

All of mine was below average . My home was only 4,527 kgs with the average being 6,148 kgs . My food was 3,554 kgs with the average being 3,636 kgs . MY purchases was only 586 kgs which is low for my average being 1,950 kgs . And my transportation is 3,916 kgs with the average being 4,184 kgs . I could probably bring down my transportation more , Ive been driving a lot since I got my permit .

You should carpool or walk and bike places more if possible, that will help bring down your transportation total.
