Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Improving Public Transportation
I saw with the results is I had a lower than average carbon footprint on what I can control, but I am still a student in high school. I have to take the bus everyday and that made my results sky rocket. i think ti better the environment we as a race need to improve the public transportation system.
What could we do?
Dear Evar
Many thanks for your suggestion to improve public transportations in the attempt of improving CO2 global production. The problem affects my footprint too. I live in a village far away from the school and not deserved by public transportation in an acceptable way (door to door time 90 minutes with two changes); the transportations by my parents with a car dramatically increases my CO2 production.

Is there any way that we can change the public transport to be one acceptable to everyone and make it more environment friendly. such as electricity or better fuel for a start
Dear Evar
Many thanks for your answer.
One way could be, in our upland region, to adapt the size of the buses to the amount of people transported (I often see buses almost empty on the road to my village) and to increase the frequency. Another cold be to renew our very old buses …
Do you have other ideas?
Best
