Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reusable school supplies?

realbiggiecheese

I've seen a journal for school that you can put in the microwave with a cup of warm water on the designated area and the entire thing will be erased. I was wondering if you guys though that stuff like this is important to the environment or is so minor it doesn't matter. In my opinion, it does matter because the little things such as a few journals and pencils every year adds up quite quickly, especially when you taking into account the millions internationally that go to school and use things that aren't reusable.
