Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Effects of Cigarette
Sometime ago I read on the internet about the production of tobacco for cigarettes, has contributed a lot in deforestation.
The impact that cigarettes have on the environment and it’s really impressing. I discovered that every year 20’000’000 trees every year are used for rolling paper and packages. In 1995 the production of cigarettes generated 2’300’000 tons of waste and 209 kgs of chemical waste.
The entire process of cultivation, care and transport of tobacco requires the use of large amounts of chemicals and other toxic materials that are highly toxic to humans, plants and animals and can also penetrate into waterways and intoxicate the land for several years.
In addition to this smoking released 2,6 billions kgs of CO2 and 5,2 billions kgs of methan. Another reason to stop smoking?
