Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Transportation
I would like to speak about transportation, because I think that this is a big problem. I'm spiking for example about Ticino...the transportation are really expensive, principally for students. This big value is a problem for me, because the people aren't stimulated to take public transport, as a result they use the car, creating a lot of traffic. In my opinion there should be more bus and more train and principally they have to cost not so much. What do you think about this?
I agree with you, but I also think that there are some promotions for the student that are convenient. I think that the buses come too rarely. For example, I live in a small village in Ticino and my buses come just one after each hour and they aren't enough. Also at night, there aren't buses or stop coming after nine o'clock, so you must take the car. The public transports are all too often late and you miss your appointments or get to school late. When they aren't late, they are in advance and you miss them. I think that, by increasing the number of public transports and the frequency, the traffic will decrease and consequently buses and trains will be on time. By decreasing the traffic, the pollution will decrease too.
