Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

vegetarian?

mariana_ciriani

i think that we can start improving our carbon footprint by eating less meat. It just waists so much water!! i am not saying that we must become vegetarian, but as i said, we can try and eat a small amount of meet

I totaly agree with you, for save our planet, a lot of people need to do a simple thing, try to reduce our consommation of meet.

I can agree on this a little because I do not like how meat** can waste resources. Although it is a problem, we can't just give up meat in total and be vegetarians, like your title says. Some people need to eat meat so they can survive and get enough protein besides eggs and fish.

I think this would be an easy change that would really help the earth. People could start not eating meat for a couple of days per week, and this would seriously improve our carbon footprints.
