Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

transport

to improve we can start just by walking instead of taking any bus or taxis. Walking is amazing, and it helps the world from pollution. More walks less busses

I agree. People should stop taking buses every day. One way to fix this problem is by just walking, but there are many more. You could ride a bike, skateboard, or just go for a run.

Yea, also eliminating cars(which would probably never happen) can help too, and it can also stop kidnapping and people getting ran over. People can use bikes and other transportation methods.

I think that America is far too focused on everyone having their own car. In many other countries in Europe and Asia, the main way to get to work is riding public transport. Though, I don't think everyone walking to where they need to be is a great idea because many people live a lot of miles away from where they need to go(school/work). I think America should start adapting buses more than cars because at the moment, tens of cars on the street instead of everyone riding one bus or train is causing much more pollution than if everyone just decided to ride the bus.
