Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Using More Solar Energy

AlexTaaffe

Most people have a hard time using less electricity and there is a simple but costly solution for them.

According to EnergySage.com, solar panels cost around $14,000 to buy and install, with tax but, if the outcome is both lowering your monthly electricity bills, and it lowers your carbon foot print.

By using solar energy we will use the rays from the sun to create our own eco-friendly energy that can be stored or used when ever it is needed. Having 30 panels installed and producing around 250 watts per panel, you will have about 7,500 watts in all. That is the average amount of watts one house uses per day.
