Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Unnecessary Water Usage :(

zoeycbod2mm

Everyday people forget to turn off water when it's not in use. Though it may not seem like anything substantial, it actually makes a large difference. Just by turning off the water when you brush your teeth can save up to 200 gallons a year. Conserving water is important because it is limited. Water is necessary for life on Earth but if it keeps being wasted there will be none left. There are plenty of ways to conserve water besides turning of the sink when you a brushing your teeth. You can also take shorter showers or taking baths.
