Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Wants, needs, haves. Do you NEED it? or Do you just want it? Our planet has so many new ideas and gadgets coming out to make life easier, but I am almost positive you do not need the new iphone xs max. Us humans put so much priority into buying random things that are "the new trend". It wont last much longer, so hold off and dont buy it. There's no need to waste 1) your money, and 2) waste these plastics and materials just to be put into our oceans. Think twice about your actions and really go over how much waste the product that youre buying has. This message is not just for technology, this is about EVERYTHING you think about purchasing. You dont need to buy another t shirt, try thrifting one. Donate your old clothes, or up cycle them. Overall, we need to be aware of this issue, and not get sucked into new brands, and trends. Buy what YOU NEED, and nothing else. Try to live a more simplistic lifestyle.
