Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What do you think about the garbage that people throw on the ground does not pic

Ainhoa

When I go to the beach or any free place I get very angry that there are bags etc lying on the floor and I'm picking them up even though they are not mine. What do you think about the subject? Would you pick them up?

I agree with this, and I am trying to do this more in my daily life. Picking up trash and then correctly sorting it into the trash will help create a better environment and place to live. It not only looks better, but also prevents trash from going into the ocean or somewhere where it doesn't belong. Picking up trash is also a great way to realize how you can have a positive impact on the environment.

I see this happen very often, and it's just a shame that people can't just pick after themselves. It just seems like so many people are oblivious to this and it's such a simple thing we can fix. I always pick up after myself and try to remind others to pick up for themselves too. Overall, just picking up your own trash is so simple and easy, there's no reason not to do it. In the end, it is such a small thing to do, but can make a large impact on the world.
