Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Martyna, POLAND
Hi! My name is Martyna. I live in Rybnik, Poland. I'm 17 years old.
In Poland average carbon footprint is 6,526 kgs and my average carbon footprint is 9,198 kgs.
In my opinion, my carbon footprint is just average, but I would like to know your opinion ![]()
I have the lowest result in the 'purchases' - 112kgs, and my highest score was in the category called ‘home’ – 6,323 kgs.,
So, what do you think about my total carbon footprint?
I think your total carbon footprint levels are not bad at all! The total for my carbon footprint was 13,038kg which was lower than the average for my region in the USA. My highest level was in transportation, this was because I spend a lot of time driving which I need to reduce.
