Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint
So, I have predicted my carbon footprint will be lower than it is the average for my country and I was right.
My country's average is 5,736kgs and mine is 4,417kgs I have to say I am quite pleased with the results. Of course, it could be better ( and I plan to work on it) but for now I am happy.
My totals are:
Home: 1,629kgs
Food: 1,853kgs
Purchases: 60kgs
Transportation: 872kgs
The results for transportation would have been much smaller had I not flown with a plane this year. The fact that every results of mine, in every category, is smaller than the average for my country really surprised me.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to improve my footprint?
