Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

MY CARBON FOOTPRINT
Hello my names is Yesenia and I am fifteen years old. I live in Las Palmas De Gran Canaria in the Canary Island.
I think my results are below the average with respect to my region, except in one category that I excedeed the average. I think that I contaminated not much but you can always pollute less. In general, Im still happy with my results and I see that I contaminate not much as I imagined. Although I had never imagined that each person could contaminated much, and the worst thing is that we do it every day, in general this has been a good project.
Thank you for let the students participate in this!
my carbon footprint is 19,255 kgs all because of travel.
How I have 5,510 kg
Mine was somewhat lower than yours, But mine was higher than my region for the same reason(Traveling)
My carbon footprint was a lot higher than I thought it would be. It totaled to 18553. I did take a lot of road trips last year. I also live 26 miles away from my school so I ride in a car a lot. I live a pretty green life as well. I compost and am vegetarian. But this does not seem to affect my carbon footprint much at all.
