Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

How food affects our Carbon Footprint

ArianaMusaBODMM

In every kind and type of food, there is Carbon. Carbon is an important part of our body because it allows us to take in oxygen and it allows our cells to respire. Whenever we eat food, we ingest the carbon that was originally in the food, which is now our digestive system. there is no real way to escape this part of our carbon footprint because we need food to survive, but by eating less food, we can reduce the amount of carbon that we respirate back into the atmosphere.
