Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Taking Action
Climate change has been a battle that we've been struggling with for a long time. Every single day, we as society emit more and more CO2 into the atmosphere, therefore warming it and creating climate change. While many people have come to recognize this, and it is a cause that has gained a lot of attention, I have noticed that many people often ask what the next step is. There are tons of small actions that can be done every day to lower one's personal carbon footprint. These include buying locally grown food, carpooling or taking public transportation, brining your own shopping bags to the grocery store, and many more. There are several organizations, including ACE (Alliance for Climate Education) that make it easy to get involved and truly start making change. https://acespace.org/
