Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint is more than 2,000 kgs more than the national average. My Carbon footprint breaks form the average the most in the food category. I want to find ways to reduce my carbon footprint and make it less than the average. I have a couple of ideas on how to do that. For one, I want to eat less beef. Beef takes a LOT of water and grass to procure. One cow also releases an average of between 70 and 120 kg of Methane per year. Beef is a very unsustainable form of meat. Another thing I could do is to make sure I turn out every light when I leave a room and to unplug my cords when something is done charging. It may seem like that will have no effect, but over time it could make a big difference. Do you guys have any suggestions for me to help reduce my carbon footprint?
