Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Pollution
What are ways we could reduce pollution? One ways I think we could reduce pollution is use less plastic.
True!
Ways to use plastic so that we don't pollute the ocean it maybe use like plastic straws, milk jug, and plastic cups. Ways to use those plastic items is use the plastic cup as a pencil holder. Use the plastic straws to make art out of it. Last use the milk jug as funnel or a drainer. Also you could use a milk jug as a dish towel and sponge holder.
I agree I think we are using to much plastic we can reuse bottles and containers that we already have at home.
Changes have been made, at least where I live, to reduce the amount of plastic we use. Metal straws are starting to become more popular, which is a step in the right direction. Plastic straws, according to https://www.strawlessocean.org/faq, are too light to go into the mechanical recycling sorter. This can also mean that they are blown out of trash cans or just left on the beach altogether. These straws are broken down into smaller pieces, which are extremely harmful to marine life. Baby sea turtles are especially susceptible to this, and studies last year showed 100% of baby sea turtles had ingested some plastic.
Your ideas are great for reducing plastic, and reusable and metal straws, as I explained earlier, benefit our marine life 100%.
We can start reducing pollution by using fewer things. I know it sounds hard and crazy but we can all easily cut unnecessary materialistic things from our lives. Buying fewer things is better because we encourage companies to not overproduce and manufacture things we don't need. Overproducing is a waste and contributes to the earth's pollution by putting toxins and co2 into our atmosphere.
