Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Footprint, Ewelina, Poland
Hello everyone!
My name is Ewelina, I'm from Poland. I live in a small village near Rybnik. My total footprint is 3874 kgs, in Poland it is 6526 kgs. I'm proud of my score, because it is so much better than the general one achieved by people from my country. The majority of my footprint comes from Food at 1543 kgs and then from Home - 1532 kgs, so it's really a small difference.
The rest of my categories:
Transportation: 634 kgs
Purchases: 165 kgs.
In your opinion, should I cut down on anything or is this score good enough? ![]()
Your footprint is really good! It is much better then mine. Theres really not much more that you can do to lower it. I could defiantly learn to model my lifestyle after yours.
Your footprint is very good! Your score compared to mine is much lower. The fact that your food is the only high footprint is very good. There is not really anything that you need to change. I could definitely learn some things from your lifestyle to help make a difference in my carbon footprint.
