Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint- Isabelle Boussinot

Isabelleboussinot

Based on my results, my carbon footprint resulted really high. From this, I have concluded that I need to reduce my footprint. I will start to walk to places if I can, and use less water, and electric things in my home. If everyone in the world does this a little, they will reduce their footprint and the world will be better.

My carbon footprint also resulted fairly high and I have come to the same conclusions as you.  You bring up good points on how you could walk to places, use less water, and use less electric things in your homes.  For me, I would need to carpool more often, eat more locally grown foods and organic foods, and recycle more often.  I also agree with the fact that if everyone in the world did things to reduce their carbon footprint, the world would be a much better place.
