Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Technology
In this generation, technology plays a huge role. We use it for communication, games, entertainment, and much more. Although technology has many pro's it also a few con's. It takes us away from nature and from getting intact to our inner self. Also, it hurts our carbon footprint. The process of going to the store (transportation), purchasing, and then using technology at home hurts the carbon footprint tremendously. If we get off of technology and go into nature a little bit more, the world would be a better place.
I completely agree. Parents need to facilitate their kids screen time. Nowadays I see kids getting addicted to screens as young as two or three!! Additionally, kid's are becoming less active and obesity levels are rising. Not only does technology hurt the environment, but its hurting our kids health.
I agree with this as kids need to stay away from screens and the detrimental effects of technology are hurting the next generation. However, I believe that the positive attributes of technology out way the negative. I believe that instead of cutting off technology we just need to control it so we get more of the benefits with less of the sacrifices.
I agree with your argument. There will always be pros and cons to technology, even though it will get more advanced. The number of time children and adults spend on technology needs to be cut down. We need to be able to spend time with nature, before technology becomes too advanced.
I totally agree, not many people know that technology has a huge impact on your carbon footprint. The amount of time a person regularly spends on his/her phone and other devices is higher than it has ever been in the last decade. If we spend more time interacting with real people, our worldwide carbon footprint will go down dramatically.
I agree as many teens do not realize the amount of time we spend on different forms of technology. As it is important to use the technology in school for assignments but we take this for granted as we usually find ourselves playing games or interacting with people on social media. Cutting down on the use of technology will reduce our carbon footprint as well as make us have ore face to face discussions.
Teens never understand how much they are on there phone or laptop. The time just passes, it is like an everyday routine to them. Kids fall behind in school or do not pay attention in school because they are playing video games or texting. There are no more interactions with one another. If we enforce cutting down on the use of technology it will benefit our carbon footprint.
