Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Walk, Run, Bike
There are many easy ways to cut down on CO2 emissions, but one of the simpler ways are finding other ways to travel and go places than just driving in self-owned vehicles. Some of these ways are as simple as walking, biking, carpooling, or taking public transportation which we have a great system for in the bay area. Using these ways means fewer cars on the road and less carbon dioxide getting emitted into the atmosphere, meaning a healthier environment.
I agree, transportation is a cause of most of the worlds carbon footprint and a lot of it is unnecessary. A lot of people only get around using cars when public transportation or walking is much cheaper and environmentally friendly.
