Decreasing the amount of energy used in the pumping of water reduces carbon emissions, which contributes to greenhouse gases, and leads to climate change. If the world does not continue to conserve water healthy water supply may not be available. Water conservation can increase the possibility of helping issues such as rising costs, reduced food supplies, health hazards, and armed conflict.
