Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

importance of recycling
Recycling is very important in the natural environment. Harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from landfill areas. Recycling decreases pollution in the atmosphere. Recycling also reduces the necessity for raw materials so that the rainforests can be kept healthy. Recycling also protects animals and natural habitats. It also helps protect marine life by decreasing trash in the water and helps decrease the percentage of extinction of animals.
Recycling is very important to the environment as well as the people. If we don't recycle, than we will not be able to keep this world alive. The excess of plastic will end up killing many of the animals and the birds in the environment. We rely on these animals for may things from food to cleaning up our streets.
I agree very much with this claim. People need to realize what they are letting go in the landfill. Also, I believe compost is an amazing way to save the Earth. I go to other people's houses and am very suprised when they don't have a green bin inside their house.
