Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

the footprint

Aina

Hello, my transport footprint is 707 kgs of CO per year, 1757 kgs of CO per year only about food and 133 kgs of CO per year only about purchases. There was an error with the test and then it doesn’t calculate my footprint according to home.
If i don’t take in to account my home footprint my total footprint will be 2597 kgs of CO per year.  In spite of the fact that I was taking into account the amount of CO2 I produce at home I won’t probably surpass the mean.
