Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon footprint
My carbon footprint was very big compared to the average human, and I believe that it was mainly because of how my incandescent lights we have.
One way you can lower your carbon footprint is to switch from incandescent lights to led lights or something more environmentally friendly.
My carbon footprint was relatively high as well, compared to the average person. I think this was because I had a high transportation total, because I went on vacation. My home emissions was also very high. I think this was because we use gas for heating, and I don't have solar panels to reduce the gas needed for heating. In my home, we have all LED lights, which cut down on some carbon emissions in that category. I was surprised when I found out my total home emissions because we do have all LED lights and I believed this would reduce my overall total.
