Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

What we could do to help
It can be hard to limit many everyday things that are bad for the environment. While we can make simple adjustments to help, things like transportation long distances and heating your home can be difficult to avoid. If everyone tried to use better light bulbs and carpooled (only a couple examples out of many) more, it could make a huge difference when combined together.
I completely agree with this! For me the question that asked about if you bought things based on the amount of packaging. This I havn’t thought of before and think it’s really important espically because it’s a little thing that won’t affect my life that much. I am planning on try to buy things with as little packaging as possible from now on.
I agree people have become accustomed to everyday things that produce a lot of carbon. It would be very hard to tell people to stop doing or using things that they use every day.
