Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Electric Cars

avapusabod4mm

Why don't more people invest in electric cars? Well first of all most Electric cars range from 30,000 to 100,000 dollars. Which is quite a lot of money and while they may be much better for the environment they are difficult for many people to get their hands on because of the price. Many companies have created initiatives that provide people with free charges or benefits when they switch to electric. They do this in hopes that it convinces more and more people to pick the Green alternative. I think this is an amazing idea and an amazing cause and many more companies should do things that encourage people to reduce their carbon any way they know how.
