Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Climate Change and Social Media
Recently a post on Instagram was created by a company called "Tentree". Tentree creates sustainable clothing and lifestyle items and sells them online. For each purchase made, Tentree plants 10 trees. The post they made said that for every 10 likes the post got, one tree would be planted. This post has reached over 15million likes in little over a week. I personally thought that this was an amazing idea! When confronted with climate change, many people tend to rather not know how to help, not have enough time to help, find it difficult to help, or/and etcetera. This post gave people who have these problems a chance to participate in something amazing extremely easily. Many people have social media, and in this day and age, it is becoming easier and easier to talk and spread awareness about climate change. I find this fact awesome and I hope that more things like this happen in the near future. I was also wondering if anyone else had seen this post and had any opinions to share on it.
