Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Little things can make a big change.
One of the problems us humans face is our ever growing population. There are literally too many people on Earth, way more than there should be. That is why we should all make little changes in our everyday lives, because when 7 billion people make a slight change that makes a difference on a global scale. My idea is for the governments of the world to make new laws which would make people be able to spend a precise amount of water, gas and electricity each day, month or year. I firmly believe that we can help our planet a lot by doing the simplest changes. I would like to end my post with an inspirational quote from a person I appreciate deeply. "If we're destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there's got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that." -Ellen DeGeneres
