Green New Deal. What is The Deal

The news media and our politicians both provide a very subjective view of the Green New Deal. Personally, I believe that although the changes proposed by AOC would be a unusual change in our daily routines, and induce enormous budgetary changes that our congress would have a difficult time agreeing to. However, they are necessary towards making sure future generations have a planet to live on in 50 years. As shown by this survey, many of the tiny things we do such as longer showers, and just driving our cars contribute to climate change. The Green New Deal essentially proposes a 100% shift to clean energy sources such as hydrogen and solar power by 2030. However I think the method being used to push the plan will not be very successful, as many people don't even think that climate change is a real problem! We must take those initial steps to unifying our citizens in identifying environmental issues and THEN we can begin to implement drastic policy changes such as the Green New Deal. In the end however, it is up to you to research it's propositions and opposing view points, as the media tends to do a very biased job of covering the issue.
