Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

I agree that taking care of the forests is crucial to reducing global carbon footprints. According to a site called "The World Counts", Tropical Rainforests store more than 210 gigatons of carbon and deforestation is the cause of 15% of carbon emissions. If anyone wants to read this article, the link will be attached.

This is a great idea if we were to save the forest their will be more places for all sorts of creatures from a ant to a cougar.

kciranda

lets make a club about saving the forest

DPlascencia

by cutting trees we take space from animals and also acidify the ocean which destroys water ecosystems

GCastillon

Us people do have to stop cutting trees. Our trees absorb carbon dioxide (AKA:CO2) and then release it but, the trees have cleaned the CO2  and have converted it to clean air!.!.!.

The forests are our main source of oxygen. We always need to protect them and make sure they are safe or else our world will end. I agree immensely that we need to save the trees.
