Plastic bags don't seem to be a big problem compared to extinction of endangered species but they can cause a big problem to our planet. Bad thing about plastic bags are that they need hundreds of years to decompose. While they decompose they produce greenhouse gases which takes to global warming and kill animals. I have heard that some countries bannded plastic bags or even introduced tax on them. I saw on our seaside that people left plastic bags on the beach which is no good for birds and other animals. In my opinion we all should use cloth bags or ecopaper bags so that we don't pollute environment and we should make people aware of the danger of plastic bags.

I agree! So many people in America (as well as in other countries) don't think about the major impact that plastic has on the environment. Firstly, plastic products are often littered all around the environment, causing harm to wildlife. Secondly, they take hundreds of years to break down, which when they do, break down into tiny microplastics that go into our oceans and soil and as a result, into our food. Finally, as you said, they produce toxic greenhouse gases such as methane when decomposing and also, when melted to be recycled. We have to start using more sustainable options. Reusable bags, straws, cup,  produce bags, utensils, composting food scraps, and shopping in bulk.

It would be nice for everyone to start using reusable bags, personally my family does and anytime we need to get a plastic bag we make sure to reuse them before recycling.

Yes i do agree with so i am going to try my best and write a pargraph so here i go , the reason i agree is that poeple should buy reusable bags and use them all the time instead of wasting plastic bags
