Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Plastic is problem

bobekcro

Plastic is one of the biggest problem today. Plastic takes at least 400 years to decompose. We use to much plastic every day. To the end of the centeury in oceans will be more plastic bottles than fish. We need to stop overuse of plastic. When we are going to shopping we need to use paper or cotton bag insted of plastic bags or buy drinks in glass bottles or a can or buy everything in bigger package. All of this things are needed to save the planet.

I agree with you. We use way too much plastic than is needed. I think that the new regulation that plastic bags at grocery stores cost around 25 cents because this makes people not want to use plastic bags and instead bring their own bags. I think to make an even bigger impact on decreasing our plastic use, we should increase the cost of plastic bags at grocery stores.
