Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing Light Electricity
Almost everyone uses lights, however, not everyone has good techniques in reserving light energy. Carbon footprints determine how much carbon one uses. People should try to make their carbon footprints smaller because the bigger the footprint, the more the environment is hurt. Reserving energy is very important because it reduces the amount of carbon used, which leads to saving the environment. Some people leave their lights on when they do not need to use them anymore, which can harm the environment because more carbon is being used. Turning off unneeded lights is a great electricity reducing technique. People should always try to use the least light electricity as possible. Everyone should turn off lights when the usage of electric light is unnecessary. Also, turning off lights reduces the payment of electric bills.
