The difference between a want and a need; a need is something you have to have, such as water; without it you would not survive, a want is something you would like to have but is not absolutely necessary. A lot of individuals would agree that technology has a huge impact on our everyday life. The world is too dependent on technology for many things such as "staying connected" with old friends that live somewhere else or to catch up on the latest news- also for navigation. Before navigation most people used maps but nowadays, I would bet that 75 percent of minors do not know how to read a map or know how to navigate themselves to a certain destination.
Because the world is so dependent on technology and no one knows how to function without it, it is turning into a "need" per say. We need to educated individuals so they learn how to function without technology because lets say we have a huge power outage.. what do we do without Wi-Fi, TV, navigation etc.
